Election of a New CAMRT President

Karren Fader Picture CAMRTThe Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) is pleased to announce the election of a new President/Chair of the CAMRT Board of Directors. Karren Fader, RTNM (Halifax, NS) was elected from amongst her peers by the CAMRT Board of Directors on November 20-21, 2015. Ms. Fader’s two-year term is effective July 1, 2016 until June 30, 2018.

 

Ms. Fader is faculty in the nuclear medicine technology program at the School of Health Sciences, Dalhousie University, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In her role as an educator she promotes evidence based practice and an interprofessional, patient-focused approach to learning.

 

Active throughout her career, particularly over the last 14 years at both the provincial and national level, she has focused on promotion and advancement of the MRT profession.  She is currently serving as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for CAMRT.
