COVID-19 - CERTIFICATION EXAM UPDATE
To our examination candidates:
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Yardstick Assessment Strategies (YAS) testing centre network will remain closed until the end of May 2020.
We have secured two options to accommodate the May 2020 certification exam candidates.
- A remotely proctored certification exam May 20-22.
This option will allow candidates who are prepared to write in May to take the exam from the safety of their own home. This applies to exam candidates located in Canada and those currently outside of Canada.
Remote proctoring is a highly validated and secure method of administering high stakes examinations, powered by artificial intelligence AND live proctoring by a highly-trained professional.
Please note the exam date change from May 11-12 to May 20-22 – we will be communicating with candidates directly with further instructions related to the new exam dates.
- A supplementary certification exam session in the summer.
We have heard that many students have been pulled from their clinical rotations, and do not know when they will be permitted to return to finish their competencies. We will offer a supplementary exam session in the summer, allowing those who experience a delay in program completion, an opportunity for certification prior to the September exam session.
The date of the supplementary exam session is July 20, 2020.
The supplementary exam session will only be available to candidates who had originally registered for the May 2020 sitting. No new registrations will be accepted. No exceptions.
Additional updates and instructions will be delivered directly to registered exam candidates via email. Please check your email frequently.
Questions related to the May certification exam can be directed to the CAMRT Manager of Certification at email@example.com.
