Notification of Retirement or Parental Leave

Notification of Retirement or Parental Leave

Please complete this form if you will be retiring or going on parental leave within the next 30 days or if you have already gone on leave/retired. If your leave begins more than 30 days from today, please return closer to your leave date to complete this form.

Your professional liability insurance will be cancelled the day after your identified last day of work. Should your last day of work change after submitting this form, please email the CAMRT (membership@camrt.ca) so that we can adjust your insurance coverage.

Thank you for informing us of your retirement and congratulations!

Active members who are retiring have two options: 1) transition to a senior membership, or 2) cancel your membership entirely.

Senior Membership

Senior membership is available to any qualified member who has reached the age of 55 or has been a CAMRT member for 30 years or more, and who is no longer directly or indirectly involved in the practice of the profession of medical radiation technology.

Senior membership is available for $36/year and includes access to all the regular CAMRT benefits that you are accustomed to, including access to our Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences, our quarterly newsletter, AGM voting rights, member discounts, and more. Professional liability insurance (PLI) is not included. A refund will be provided for the difference in dues, if applicable.

It is important to note that Senior Membership does not include Professional Liability Insurance (PLI). If you are planning to work, even casually, during your retirement, you should maintain Full-Practice membership, which includes the protection of PLI.

A member of the CAMRT membership team will contact you to discuss the refund of dues, if applicable. Membership dues are refundable to qualified members based on a pro-rated amount for the year. PLI is non-refundable. Please refer to our full refund policy.

Thank you for informing us of your parental leave and congratulations!

Members wishing to suspend their membership while on leave have two options: 1) transition to a non-practicing membership, or 2) cancel your membership entirely for the duration of your leave.

Non-Practicing Membership

Members who select to change their membership to Non-Practicing during their leave will continue to have access to all member benefits except for Professional Liability Insurance. Non-Practicing membership is available for $97/year (pro-rated based on date of purchase). A refund will be provided for the difference in dues, if applicable.

It is important to note that Non-Practicing Membership does not include Professional Liability Insurance (PLI). If you are planning to work, even casually, during your leave, you should maintain Full-Practice membership, which includes the protection of PLI.

A member of the CAMRT membership team will contact you to discuss the refund of dues, if applicable. Membership dues are refundable to qualified members based on a pro-rated amount for the year. PLI is non-refundable. Please refer to our full refund policy.
