Mental Health Working Group – Volunteer Recruitment, Spring 2022

The role of the Mental Health Working Group (MHWG) is to assist in identifying areas of support and good practice for positive mental health among CAMRT members. The working group will provide recommendations relative to current and future CAMRT member benefits and services, and suggest strategies and initiatives to safeguard MRTs’ mental wellbeing and build personal and professional resilience.

A summary of the roles and responsibilities of the MHWG would be to:

  1. Propose strategies that the CAMRT can implement to help support members’ mental health.
  2. Review and evaluate existing and future member benefits and services and initiatives put forth by the CAMRT with respect to mental health and recommend changes on an ongoing basis.
  3. Remain abreast of changes in the professional environment that may have a positive or negative effect on the mental health of MRTs.
  4. Provide a forum to articulate and amplify the needs and feelings of MRTs.
  5. Propose new areas for research on mental health in the profession.

 

Currently, we are looking to recruit volunteers for the following positions:

  • MRT Members, in any discipline (2 or 3 positions)
  • MRT Students (2 new positions)

Requirements:

  • MHWG members are in good standing and a member of CAMRT.
  • Must work in Canada.
  • Members are willing and committed to join video/teleconferences, and/or in-person meetings if required.
