Certificate Program Changes 2022

Certificates in Breast Imaging (CBIS/CBID)

As of January 2022, all new CBI certificate program registrants (CBIS and CBID) require the successful completion of CAMRT’s “Bring your Position Upfront: Breast Positioning” virtual lecture.

 

Certificate in Interventional Radiology (CIR)

As of January 2022, several changes are being made to eligibility and program completion requirements for the Certificate in Interventional Radiology. For a full list of eligibility and program requirements please visit the CAMRT Certificate Programs page.

Registration Eligibility Changes:

  • Applicants are no longer required to obtain 1950 hours in IR before registering for the certificate program.
  • Applicants are now required to be certified and practicing as an MRT for 2 years (minimum 1950 hours over 2-year period) to register for the certificate program.

 

Clinical Requirement Change:

  • Candidates must obtain 1950 dedicated practice hours in IR over a 24-month period within the established 5-year period to complete the program.

 

Didactic Requirement Change:

  • Candidates must now successfully complete the CAMRT’s Virtual Lecture “Cardiac Catheterization” to complete the program.
