The transition of CPQR to CAPCA
Since 2010, CPQR and its partners CAMRT, the Canadian Association of Radiation Oncology (CARO) and the Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists (COMP) have worked together to drive practice harmonization, improve patient safety, improve quality and support equitable access to care for all Canadians.
On October 1, 2021 CPQR will become a standing committee of the Canadian Association of Provincial Cancer Agencies (CAPCA). This move will sustain quality improvement advances made over the past decade and reinforce the important connection between the work of CARO, COMP and CAMRT and organizations like Accreditation Canada, CIHI, CAPCA and CPAC that support the broader health system.
CPQR and CAPCA are committed to ensuring an organized, thoughtful and collaborative transition and re-organization that incorporates the priorities of both organizations and partners.
