Remark/Appeal Policy for CAMRT Certification Exam Results

 Exam Re-mark

Candidates may request to have their exams manually re-marked. The request for re-mark must be made in writing and sent to the CAMRT Office within forty (40) working days following the exam date. A response will be sent to the candidate within twenty (20) working days following receipt of request and payment. A re-mark fee of $75.00 will apply.

Exam Appeal Policy for extenuating circumstances

All candidates have the right to appeal.  The extenuating circumstances for the appeal must be documented in writing and received by the Director of Education at the CAMRT office no later than thirty (30) working days following the exam date. A fee of $250.00 will apply and must be received with the written request and documentation.

The request will be reviewed by an appeal committee consisting of the Director of Education, a member of the Education Advisory Council and the Chair of an Exam Validation Committee other than the discipline in which the exam was written. The appeal committee may request additional information before rendering a decision.

In the event the appeal is granted, the candidate will be given the opportunity to rewrite the exam.  The CAMRT exam fee will be waived and the appealed exam result will be null and void. The decision will be sent to the candidate within twenty-five (25) working days of receipt of all documentation related to the appeal.

The decision of the appeal committee will be final.

Approved by the CAMRT Board of Directors on the recommendation of the Education Advisory Council, November 2011.
