Canadian Society of Radiological Technicians is founded.

1943

The Focal Spot, Volume 1, Issue 1 is created.

1st RT Designation and exam.

1951

Development of Cobalt-60 unit in Saskatchewan.

1961

Canada’s 1st gamma camera developed in Saskatoon.

1970

Can J Radiography Radiotherapy Nucleography- Vol 1, Issue 1.

1973

First CT in Canada.

1982

First MRI in Canada.

1982

Prince Edward Island was approved as a CAMRT division. 

1987 – CAMRT Foundation

The CAMRT Foundation was incorporated under the Canada Corporations Act as a charitable organization on January 29, 1987.

1996

MRI recognized as a separate discipline.

1997

CAMRT launches its 1st website- www.camrt.ca

2008

The Journal is renamed JMIRS

2011

Image of Care initiative begins. 

2012

1st PET-MRI in Canada. 

2014

The CAMRT-ACTRM logo changed.
