World Cancer Day: February 4, 2017

World Cancer Day: February 4, 2017

As MRTs  you understand the profound impact that cancer has on peoples’ lives.

World Cancer Day (February 4, 2017) is a special once-a-year opportunity to shed light on the disease to raise awareness, funds and momentum for important change in the battle against cancer. It is a chance to reflect on what you can do, make a pledge and take action. Under the banner statement ‘We can. I can.’, World Cancer Day explores how everyone – as a collective or as individuals – contributes to reduce the global burden of cancer.

Just as cancer affects everyone in different ways, all people have the power to take actions to reduce the impact that cancer has on individuals, families and communities. This Saturday, February 4 (on World Cancer Day), YOU CAN further help those with cancer by posting a tweet, sharing an image on Facebook or talking about cancer with the people you encounter.

Find materials to help on the World Cancer Day Resource Page. You can download and share them with others in any way you like.

Whatever you choose to do, this Saturday, February 4, ‘WE CAN. I CAN.’ make a difference in the fight against cancer.
