CT Simulation: An Overview

Computed Tomography plays an integral role in Radiation Therapy Treatment Planning. This course provides an in-depth look at CT Simulation; how it is used, to delineate tumour and treatment volumes, and to assist in defining organs at risk, tumour motion and tissue densities. Also included is a discussion of advanced topics such as 4DCT, image fusion, artifact reduction techniques and software including Metal Artifact Reduction. The CT SIM Quick Self Study has been approved for 2 credits by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board.
