Free, open online course on advanced practice in Medical Radiation Technology

Timed to coincide with the ‘Leading the Way: International Radiographer Advanced Practice Conference’, a Radiographer Advanced Practice SHOOC® (RAP SHOOC) is supported by the College of Radiographers (UK), the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), the Australian Institute of Radiography, and delivered in collaboration with PebblePad.

This free, flexible, open, online course will commence on the 1st September 2016 and run until the 30th September 2016. It aims to provide an educational opportunity for participants to engage in conversations about all aspects of advanced practice, using the 4 pillars of higher level practice as a focus:

  • Expert Practice
  • Professional Leadership and Consultancy
  • Education, Training and Development
  • Practice and Service Development, Research and Evaluation

This course will be of interest to all MRTs with an interest in advanced practice, whether in diagnostic imaging or radiation therapy, as well as managers, clinical educators, academics and students.

The RAP SHOOC will be delivered via interactive digital workbooks with open content you can take away on completion. We will utilise Open Badges as a means of evidencing your CPD in addition to learning articulated in your workbooks.
