IV Contrast Injection Enhanced Practice Certificate

Earn a provincially recognized Enhanced Practice Certificate in Intravenous Contrast Injection for Medical Radiation Technologists and related Allied Health Professionals.  This comprehensive two-part course combines both online didactic (theory) and practical components.  Participants will have the opportunity to learn about and practice venipuncture on simulated and actual human arms.

Digital Mammography: Advanced Technology & Clinical Application

Full-Field Digital Mammography (FFDM) has quickly emerged as the preferred choice for dedicated breast imaging technology.  When compared to conventional analog (film-screen) systems, it can significantly improve image quality and workflow while reducing absorbed dose to the patient and errors that result in repeats.  This program will provide a detailed overview of digital mammography including brief developmental history, a review of the technology and associated advanced applications, an in-depth discussion of frequently encountered artifacts, the various quality control procedures that accompany this modality and the steps to achieve accreditation by the CAR.
